Who are Mo and Piggy?
Mo’s Deli is inspired by owner Jason’s grandparents, Morris and Mildred Ellis. Known as Mo and Piggy, they were married over 67 years and lived in Brooklyn, Culver City, and Anchorage. Mo, a mailman, was famous for his warm, easy conversations with anyone he met. Piggy, a classic Jewish grandmother, was loving, outspoken, and always spoke her mind, regardless of how it landed.

Hi, I'm Jason Ellis, co-owner of Mo’s Deli and Catering. I’ve spent over 35 years in the food service industry, from running Mayflower Catering Inc. to managing hotel kitchens and remote camps in Alaska. My wife Betty and I started Mo’s to serve honest food with heart. She’s a proud NANA shareholder from Noorvik, and together, we built a deli that brings top-quality meats, warm service, and local pride to every bite.
